We first met Mike over 20 years ago as part of a social group that enjoyed walking. We became fast friends and enjoyed meals and chats together on many occasions. Our abiding memories of Mike will be those of a quiet, unassuming man with a gentle sense of humour and a steadfast friendship for those he knew. To the last he made light of his troubles, never letting us know just how ill he was. So-much-so that when we met in February, whilst shopping, we agreed to meet up soon for a meal, but never realised how little time we had left to share his company, so sadly missed the opportunity. Mike will be greatly missed by all who knew just how good a friend he was.

I am desperately sorry to hear this hideous news. All my thoughts and prayers are with your family and friends, Mike. It was an enormous privilege to work with Mike Adams, who made every day full of joy. Mike operated a vast range of cameras, was a sensational house keeper in the tender, exceptionally kind to colleagues and consistently sought marvellous images for directors. Every morning was greeted with a smile despite the nightmares of rigging ‘The Morning Line’ at many different racecourses with no set and precious little suitable areas. Please convey my deepest sympathies to his extended family. I will always be hugely grateful to Mike Adams for making each day much more enjoyable with his smile, sense of humour, kindness, consideration and innovation.
